Wendy Norbom Wendy Norbom

I am an intelligent, creative, informed, and interesting career woman and mother. My life and work experience is very diverse and I have written not only my own published work, but provided editing for my local colleagues.

Because I devote a tremendous amount of energy to non-profit causes, I am often contracted to grant write and have been very successful in this endeavor.

My preferred writing and reading subjects include non-fiction, self help, letters of objectivity, humor, biography and autobiographies. As well, I enjoy writing fiction based on fact directed to teenage readership.

I am also the go-to person for conceptual creativity; I am a true 1000 idea type gal. My naturally sharp sense of humor comes through in my own work, as well as my compassion and understanding for life's difficulties. It helps spice up my manuscripts. Natural curiosity and the need to present events in a factual and truthful manner illustrates my personal initiative to present an honest portrayal of the story being told. I truly enjoy writing and have just begun my own personal blog at wjnorbom.blogspot.com.

My life work to this date includes success in commercial design, ownership of my own retail business, grief therapy work, non-profit advocation as well as promotion and fund raising for selective businesses and non-profits.  I also sit on several Boards and am a passionate advocate for any cause that captures my interest.

Camping

Everyone close to the mountains grows up attempting to camp.  We all have garages filled with crates dedicated to tons of rarely used outdoor camping gear.  As most of our gear was very dear when we bought it, we soon loathe parting with that pair of $250 climbing boots purchased back in 1988, although we are now in our late forties and technical rock climbing is of little interest.  The boots still look cool though.Read more...

Auto-biography of a Breakdown...

Starbuck’s coffee is simply the best, you know?  I have a great love – almost passionate – for decaf non-fat peppermint mochas.  You have to skip the whip because these hold a powerful calorie punch that if you knew me, you’d know I simply don’t need. Read more...
